A big week for United Nations oratory – President Obama made his pitch to the General Assembly today. Incidentally, Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Libya’s Muammar al-Gaddafi were also in town. A weird day in world diplomacy you might say. Goose notes that Obama’s address seemed oddly like a campaign stump speech – asking what is he still running for?!
Minnesota Twins’ catcher Joe Mauer is having a textbook season and TWG says that those who don’t believe he should be American League MVP should be placed in zoos across this great land with monkeys.
