Life no longer affords the time to look at situations and make sense of them. We see a story on the internet or on TV, and then we get distracted and forget about it. America no longer ponders the state of world affairs over a newspaper in the morning. We have become a nation thoroughly afflicted with Attention Deficit Disorder.
You ought to know what the past week in politics, sports, and culture has held & what it means for your life. Therefore, we set sail on our inaugural trek to provide you with the past 7 days in 7 sentences.
- Sunday the 6th – Mitt Romney said of Barack Obama’s decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, “It took him a long time. That was a mistake….”
- Monday the 7th – Pitcher Carl Pavano agreed to return to the Minnesota Twins, accepting their offer of salary arbitration.
- Tuesday the 8th – A commercial devoid of common sense and any real efficacy played on the tv on behalf of the Levi’s jean people…
- Wednesday the 9th – Barbara Walters named Adam Lambert one of the ten most interesting people of the year in rousing illustration that the concept of ‘interesting’ has been irreparably watered down.

“Information” implies getting at least a smattering of facts straight. You don’t. One small case in point. Barbara Walters did not name Adam Lambert as one of the ten most interesting people of the year. Look it up. You’re not a goose. You’re a turkey.
but Adam Lambert WAS on the list… http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/barbara-walters-presents-fascinating-people-2009/story?id=9227748
i agree though, evidently there weren’t very many fascinating people this year. (Mrs. Obama, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, etc.)
you can always tell a levi’s commercial by the fact that they won’t make any sense, but they will show some people running around wearing pants.
I miss Bush’s dignity and humility.
I find it ironic that Europe hated Bush AND us Americans for our “arrogance,” yet they love Obama… Do I even need to explain or delve into that? I guess they define arrogance differently than I do… and they must be right, they’re Europe, they practically invented arrogance.
Anyways, good stuff, good stuff.
