From the verdant paradise of Minnesota’s Twin Cities to your ears & hearts — the GooseRadio Podcast returns.
We bring a general sense of well being to the government shutdown. Our own Brink Brickley makes a passionate case that Conservative principles our being furthered by this ongoing ordeal, while I push back that we’re not winning & we don’t even know what a conceivable win would look like at this point.
How will it end? What about smacking into the debt ceiling again next week? Could the GOP perhaps use the current situation to garner some needed cuts to government spending? A lively discussion ensues.
Then we move to the pulpit – specifically one of the most buzz-generating pulpits in these United States. We talk Pastor Joel Osteen, the Texan who’s become one of America’s most famous church leaders. A new blog lambastes all those who would point to potential lackages in Osteen’s message in zealous terms. Brink & I agree on this one… and take the conversation to a discussion of the intersection of emotion and progressive thought. I then declare young people should get off my lawn.
Finally it’s a celebration of the glory of Chick-fil-A.
Bah – how did I not know about Goose Radio? Highly-larious. Well done.
