This would be fun for us. And it would be beautiful. And we need it as a country.
The rumors are swirling. Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. is thinking about capitalizing on this whole “Hillary Clinton not being particularly good at running for President – even though she’s been doing it since 1884 thing” and leaping into the Democratic nomination contest.
Now – he’s tried this trick before. If you’ll recall, all the members of Obama’s glorious “team of rivals” took part in the free for all nomination contest back in 2008. Vice President Biden also attempted to gain his party’s presidential nod back in 1988, but was derailed by his own efforts to take things other people had written and attempt to pass those things off as his own original thoughts. People get ticked off about that sort of thing if they find out you’re doing it.
But this time, everything would be different.
Secretary H. R. Clinton is floundering like something out of Finding Nemo. New leaks are springing in the good ship coronation every day. And J. R. Biden has been VP for nearly a decade now, lofting his memorable quips and debate performances before the public. If these two liberal lions / lionesses were suddenly rivals once more, it would potentially be the most entertaining thing to ever happen.
While we’re at it, could we sign up ol’ VP Gore?! What about Howard Dean?! Let’s make this happen people. Let’s make this happen. Here’s a GooseRadio podcast full of these dreams, my friend.
